A makedo-bot

Trying my hand at abit of Makedo! Its my first time, but probably not going to be the last...

The guys from Makedo came across my cardboard bots on flickr and have asked if i could do a little something for a shop display. Hell Yeah! of course i would.

But using found materials and things, not as hard as i first imagined. And little it is not. Fun and challenging it is!

 

 Upper arms: single cereal boxx and a re-clip

 

Right arm with articulation

 Left arm and 'safe-saw' hand

 

Elbow joint with 2 plastic cups and a handful of  Makedo parts!

 This part is particularly fun and im kinda proud of it :)

Still got a body to build, no legs but tracks?

Flat Pack Duck time. Finally!

Some time ago i made this and promised it would be revealed after giving it to my frund, and voila! after 3 months here it is! i proudly present my first- Flat Pack Duck! But D'oh, document and flat packing photos are stuck on my crashed laptop, D'OH. That will be abit more waiting then...

Making time... on the computer

hmmm digital art... painting on the computer, its not too different to painting with a physical brush; other than holding a tablet pen thing, well in my case a mouse. My immediate findings:
The benefits... alot of colours and texture with no mess, but alot more testing and potentially many many layers!
The lows... can be odd/ different on a screen, hmmm would it be as good as i think printed... difficult to be precise with a mouse.

OK, back to sketchin' n' paintin'!

* I think i have a thing for hands and limbs; fascinating evolution equipments, woooo hands :) ok test done, onto other ideas on computer drawing techniques
